The research is performed to identifying the most important problems and obstacles facing fish farms and the most important proposed mechanisms to overcome them in Alexandria Governorate.

A questionnaire was applied for a random sample about 25 farms of fish farms in Alexandria Governorate during (2017-2018).

The research had come to some important results and conclusions can be summarized a; (1) Fish output farms is affected by the following problems: administrative problems.

fry and fingerlings problems.

labor problems.

problems of production requirements.

product problems.

and financing problems.

and the presence of those problems reduces the flatness of the fish product function of fish farms by about 286.18 kg / Farm.

(2) The net return of fish farms is affected by the following problems: administrative problems.

problems of fry and fingerlings.

and problems of production requirements.

and the presence of those problems reduces the flatness of the function of the net return of fish farms by about L.E.

6420.81 /farm.

(3) The fish product from fish farms affected by the following proposed mechanisms and solutions: Providing feeds with appropriate prices and quantities.

and the presence of these mechanisms and proposed solutions increases the flatness of the fish farm product function by about L.E.

(4) The net yield of fish farms affected by the following proposed mechanisms and solutions: Providing feeds with appropriate prices and quantities.

and the necessity of conducting periodic inspection on fish farms only.

The absence of these mechanisms and the proposed solutions reduces the flatness of the function.

(5) There is a possibility of horizontal and vertical expansion in the fish farms of the research.

where the possibility of expansion became apparent at about 21 farms.

representing 84% of the total number of fish farms in the study sample of about 25 farms.

Lastly.

in light of the results the research can create many recommendations such as; (1) Establishing fish hatcheries near the fish farms in the number that corresponds to the numbers of those farms to provide them with sufficient seed in a suitable time.

in addition to working to raise the production capacity of the current hatcheries.

(2) Caring for the appropriate means of transporting the fry.

as well as working on developing improved strains that bear less oxygen.

(3) Conciliation and coordination between the dates of production of seed and the dates of incubation and raising of fish in fish farms.

(4) Establishing factories to produce the feed needed to feed the fish while improving the quality of the feed by increasing the proportion of protein and improving the mixing ratios of the nutrients.

(5) Working to increase the production of organic and chemical fertilizers of various kinds.

by increasing the number of factories producing fertilizers and raising the production capacity of existing factories to provide fertilizers in appropriate quantities and prices.
