The current study seeks to investigate the change that occurred in the concept of love in the light of liquid modernity.

It adopts some of the views proposed by Zygmunt Bauman about the transformation that society had witnessed, ranging from solid modernity to liquid modernity and the associated fragility of human relations, including love.

The study also uses Lucian Goldman's genetic structuralism in its theoretical and methodological aspects.

By applying this methodology to two novels: Serag Mounir's Diaspora Spring and Sahar El Mougy's Noon, a number of results are reached, including: the novels reveal numerous forms of love: romantic love, friendship as a substitute for love between man and woman, and finally love within the framework of marriage which is linked to several issues that have a significant impact on shaping the course of this love such as male domination, the ence of dialogue, marital muteness, and the issue of woman's work.

The study also reveals the manifestations of the transformation from solid love to liquid love noted by the narrative discourse.

These manifestations are represented in the emergence of the pattern of virtual love and distant love, the objectification and commodification of love, and the fragility of human relationships and bonds.

It also reveals the varied world visions of both men and women about love.

While woman's visions of the world take the form of an ideal dreamer, man's visions of the world are related to his practical view of life.
