the mural works, from their inception, tell the history and culture of a different time and civilizational era that is compatible with the local environment in which the mural was executed.

the murals, designs, and techniques used varied in order to integrate and fit with the mural.

and the architectural space in which the mural is implemented, so the mural works in the metro stations came to improve the environment aesthetically and functionally, transferring and depicting part of the social, cultural, and geographical activities practiced and lived by the local community.

in the impact of the use of mural works in subway stations as one of the most important problems that affect the aesthetic and functional form and the cultural impact in drawing the important features expressing the place and their relevance to the architectural form of the subway stations, with the development of basics and guiding criteria for choosing the proposed works in the subway stations.

the aim of the research is to study and analyze several murals executed in some metro stations and the important features affecting the nature of the mural work there.

with the enhancement of the cultural level and the development of artistic and urban culture for the metro audience.

and reaching guiding standards for the implementation, selection, and review of mural works that are commensurate with the architectural spaces within the subway stations.

also, the importance of the research is evident : in identifying the important and expressive features of society and its role in raising the level of intellectual, cultural, and historical awareness of the members of society ; and in highlighting some of the current unsatisfactory works that deviated from the technical charter and intellectual property of the implemented works that may offend the Egyptian state.

the research methodology is as follows : an inductive approach by collecting data and information about the mural works in the subway stations, followed by a descriptive analytical approach in order to analyze a group of Egyptian mural works in the various subway stations and the extent of their impact on society and public taste, and how to use the cultural and historical heritage associated with each region.

the study concluded with some results, the most important of which are the effects of various artistic practices, especially the mural depiction of the cultural, historical, and geographical landmarks that a particular region is famous for and the expression of the "concept of place" within metro stations.

to record the heritage of our ancestors and confirm the collective identity in artistic plastic formulations based on different expressive methods.

the study also recommended : providing various material and expressive artistic means, especially mural works, to employ the elements of material legacies that abound in every logic and providing all means of support to artistic institutions to activate the role of the arts and their impact on a people who belong to a long history in culture, art, and creativity, and for the arts to become an established part of Egypt's projects in all subway stations, there are murals and works of art that document, tell about, and draw dreams for the future.

expansion of the use of murals in public places and state-owned places to meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of the place, with the need to educate and teach students of fine arts and other art colleges the artistic charter and intellectual property of artwork.
