The present study aims to identify the vision of the brilliant critic named Jabra Ibrahim Jabra for poetry and novels.

It aims to identify that based on his critical blog that sheds a light on many books.

Such books include: The Eighth Journey, Fountains of vision, Freedom, the Flood and etc...

The blog of Jabrah shows that he possesses great amount of knowledge about Arabic literature and Arab history.

It shows that he has knowledge about the Western critical works and creative achievements.

The researcher of the present study adopts a descriptive analytical approach in order to identify the modernist vision of Jabra for poetry and novels.

The introduction of the present study sheds a light on the relationship between creativity and criticism.

After that, it sheds a light on the criticism of poetry.

Then, it sheds a light on the criticism of novels.

The researcher of the present study reaches several results and suggests several recommendations.

For instance, she found that criticism - from the perspective of Jabra - is represented in analyzing the literary texts in depth and identifying the aesthetic aspects and aspects of uniqueness of those texts.

That applies whether such texts are poems or novels.
