The interest in education and its components in our time has increased greatly in all societies, whether developed or emerging, and this interest was a natural response to the political, social and economic events that are raging in this era, and education has tried to adapt to these events and respond to them by relying on an educational philosophy that leads the process Education and its guidance, and the Algerian society, like other societies, tried in turn to pay attention to the issue of education as one of the most important pillars that lead to the development and advancement of civilization.

This development is related to the strength of the educational system of the state, for this we find great interest from philosophers, scientists and specialists in the field of education and its reform, and the scholar Abdel Hamid Ibn Badis is one of the most prominent Algerian scholars who devoted their lives and efforts to evaluate and reform the educational system in Algeria.

Abd al-Hamid Ibn Badis was concerned with building thehuman personality and preparing him educationally in all respects: spiritual, moral and mental , so his education is comprehensive as it cares for both the world and the hereafter , from this standpoint we pose the following problem : What are the most important elements that Ibn Badis relied on in establishing his educational project ? The importance of this study lies in focusing on the spiritual, moral, rational and human elements of Ibn Badis.

The reason for choosing the topic is due to the lack of studies in this field, i.e.

research related to the pioneers of Algerian educational thought, especially among students of the Department of Philosophy.

It also refers to our desire to clarify the effective role of Sheikh Ibn Badis in reforming the educational situation in Algeria, and we show that there are indeed figures in Algerian educational thought that deserve to be the subject of research and study.

This study aims to determine the elements of education according to Sheikh Abdul Hamid Ibn Badis, and that education in his view includes all aspects of humanity, which is an education for the body, spirit and mind together, and aims at openness to the other, the formation of the human being and the development of his cognitive, moral, social and political capabilities.
