Circular Economy is considered the best alternative to Linear Economy that resulted in the depletion of natural resources, energy sources, and environmental degradation.

The Circular Economy represents a vital entry point for achieving sustainable development, meeting the needs of present generations for resources, and sustaining future generations' rights.

Furthermore, the Circular Economy contributes significantly in protecting the environment, reducing the depletion of non-renewable energy sources, eliminating pollution, and reducing the volume of waste.

Moreover, the Circular Economy helps to reduce the environmental footprint and reduce negative impacts and practices on the environment.

After shedding light on a sample of municipalities in Tunisia, we concluded that even though the broad’s powers to protect the environment are granted to municipalities in the context of implementing decentralized reforms, the waste recycling process requires multiscale coordination and the participation of various institutions.

However and despite the modest achievements that they were able to accomplish, they are currently unable to confront environmental degradation.
