Among the important aspects that received the attention of scholars are those aspects that revolved around the text of the Holy Qur’an, (its words), in terms of realizing these words, clarifying their meanings, returning their derivatives to their origins, collecting and arranging them according to their materials or according to their occurrence in the Qur’anic surahs to facilitate access to them and benefit from them.

These Qur’anic terms are indispensable to the researcher in legal and linguistic sciences.

Among those scholars who were interested in Qur’anic studies is Imam Al-Ragheb Al-Isfahani in his dictionary of vocabulary, where he intended to compose a comprehensive dictionary that includes all the words of the Holy Qur’an, and in order to facilitate reference to his dictionary and benefit from it, he arranged it on the letters of the dictionary in alphabetical order starting with the letter Alif (hamza) and ending with the letter Ya, except Al-Raghib neglected to mention some of the vocabulary and confused the arrangement of some of them, and went on to mention what is not from the words of the Noble Qur’an.

With this work, I wanted to make up for what “Al-Ragheb” neglected of Qur’anic vocabulary, each word in its lexical position, with an explanation of the other interpretations that “Al-Ragheb” fell into and related to the topic of the research.

While adhering to the curriculum of the subject of the book according to Al-Ragheb, for example, the chapter of Al-Jim from the book, in which we present all the different kinds of corrections, then we move to the chapter of “Ha”, and so on, then the signifier until we end to the chapter of “Ya”.

And the deductions in it are divided according to the ideas presented in the research, such as the mixing of some materials, and the arrangement of some of them, as mentioned by Al-Wawi, Al-Ya’i and Al-Mahmouz in one place, and his neglect of separating them, neglecting some materials, and mentioning some articles in their wrong place, and the text on others by digression to the slightest relationship, as if it is one of the vocabulary of the Holy Quran.

Among the results, the most important of which was his neglect of many of the vocabulary of the Holy Qur’an, which were stipulated in the research survey.
