This study aimed to identify the irrational ideas about managing family affairs, to monitor the most important irrational ideas about the man's authority to approve or disapprove women right to work, to identify the methods of raising children that helped the domination of male power within the family, to know the most important popular proverbs that emphasized the upholding of the value of males superiority over females, to figure out the conflict of women roles, to monitor the irrational ideas about women's participation in politics, and to identify the social ideology of sexual harassment.

the study relied on the anthropological approach with its various tools.

the interview guide was applied to a sample of 30 individuals (15 men and 15 women), all of whom live in the city of Al-Hawamdia, which is located in the south of Giza directly on the Nile river.

their ages ranged from 25-55 years, and the educational status were literate, intermediate education, and higher education.

their employment status were office employees, teachers, housewives, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, and freelancers.

results indicated a set of conclusions, the most important of which is men emphasize that women cannot reconcile the role of taking care of the house responsibilities and work responsibilities and may face many challenges and problems, whether in managing the house affairs and children responsibility.

great part of the surveyed sample, both men and women, shoed their opposition of women’s involvement in the political function as it is not suitable for their nature based on a set of perceptions decided by male ideology.
