The photographic image has an important place in the field of semiotics, as it has become very necessary and important in contemporary media, and on television channels, as well as in various arts.

because it conveys to us the image of reality with its details and parts and is considered a mirror that reflects it, it also includes connotations and meanings that need a semiotic reading to decipher its codes, and reveal its rhetoric that appears through colors, shapes, lighting, perspective and gesture, and the interpretation of the image differs from one reader to another and this is due to its cultural and psychological background.

we will try, through this study, to analyze the photographic image from the perspective of "Roland Barth" through images that we used in the study.

we have relied on the mechanisms of reading the photograph in Parthian semiology, with the photograph from an artistic perspective.
