This research aims at finding out the extent of the availability of administrative information systems application requirements (hardware, programs, human and organizational) at the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas, in the Sudan.

It also, aims at knowing the standard of employees’ performance at the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas, as well as, recognizing the impact of the administrative information systems on their performance, this research problem which is represented in the assumption that there are many of corporations neither pay attention to build information systems nor, endeavor to provide the necessary requirements for building them.

They don’t even have the awareness of the important role that the information systems could play in running such corporation effectively, the matter which results in poor performance of their employees and they will lack coping with the developments take place in the information technology and systems therefore, the ultimate result shall be the failure of those firms and inability to achieve their goals.

The research anticipated two main hypotheses as follows: There is an effect of statistical significance between the administrative information systems application requirements (hardware) at the Ministry of Petroleum.

The research adopted the descriptive analytical method, historical and the case study methodology.

The research has reached many findings the most important of which are as follows: The research revealed that availability of advanced and high quality computers at the Ministry of Petroleum.

In light of the above findings the research recommends as follows.

Focusing on the effectiveness of the systems used by the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas in order to make use of them to the maximum so as to increase production and productivity.
