The current research aimed to identify the impact of the interaction between the design of electronic mind maps (free/restricted) and the learning style (surface / deep) and its effectiveness in developing the skills of generating new ideas among student teachers at the College of Education - Qassim University.

The research sample consisted of (32 students) from student teachers at the College of Education - Qassim University in Saudi Arabia (the seventh level), they were distributed into four experimental groups according to the levels of the independent and categorical variables.

The research tools consisted of testing the ability to produce new ideas, and a scale Learning style (surface vs deep).

The results of the research revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental groups in the ability to produce new ideas test, due to the main effect of the electronic mental map design style (free / restricted)", in favor of the members of the experimental groups that were studied.

With a free electronic mental map design style, and there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental groups in the test of the ability to produce new ideas, due to the main influence of the learning style (surface / deep).

In favor of the experimental groups with deep learning style, the results also revealed an interaction between the electronic mental map design style (free / restricted) and the learning style ( surface / deep) and the differences came in favor of the experimental groups with deep learning style who studied using the mind map design style Free electronic.
