The research aims to recognize financial engineering and its role in managing and addressing risks, through innovative financial products that help solve the problems of banking institutions.

Financial engineering aims at the creation of strong financial policies by financial institutions, and the creation of new financial products and instruments and flexible financial strategies that interact and benefit from the continuous changes in global, regional and local financial markets.

If financial engineering is used to find solutions to financing problems or to achieve more profits or to manage risks, the research has focused on its role in managing risks in traditional and Islamic banks, through the statement of its concept, origins and relationship to risk management, and its role in dealing with financial distress, and liquidity in modern financial institutions.

Upon extrapolation, I have chosen some financial products that the financial industry has produced to reduce risks as a place of comparative doctrinal study, as models expressing that industry, the extent to which it has achieved its role, its success or not.

I have reached a number of important conclusions, the most important of which are new financial tools provided by the financial industry, which were not just a leap in the performance of financial markets, but were a revolution in formulating and participating in these contracts.

It was recommended that attention should be paid to the problems of banking institutions and that legitimate solutions and alternatives should be proposed to contribute to their success.
