بعد أن قمنا بالتذكير بالتراث الاستعماري ونقد أسطورة الازدهار التي كان يدعيها، تستحضر الدراسة التحولات الرئيسية التي حدثت خلال العقود الأولى (1960-1970) تحت تأثير سياسات الإصلاح الزراعي ("الإدارة الذاتية" و"الثورة الزراعية")، وكذلك الأسباب الكامنة في الخيارات الليبرالية التي تم الاحتفاظ بها خلال العقود التي تلت (1980-2000).

والمقال يشرح كذلك أسباب التحول الذي حدث خلال الستين سنة الماضية، حيث تفسح الصورة الاجتماعية للفلاح والبروليتاري الزراعي، الشريك الاجتماعي المميز للدولة، الطريق أمام طبقة وسطى من المزارعين والمقاولين الزراعيين.

يزدهر هؤلاء الفاعلون الاجتماعيون الجدد من المدن أو الريف، حيث صاروا يتنافسون الآن على الأرض والمياه والمال ورأس المال الاجتماعي مع الفلاحين.

في نهاية استعراض تاريخي بأثر رجعي يصف التحولات الاجتماعية التي ميزت العالم الزراعي، تحدد الدراسة تحديات المستقبل الزراعي للجزائر.

After recalling the colonial legacy and criticizing the myth of colonial prosperity, the study discusses the main transformations that took place during the first decades (1960-1970) under the effect of agrarian reform policies ('self-management' and 'agrarian revolution'), as well as the reasons behind the liberal options that were adopted during the decades that followed (1980-2000).

this paper explains the reasons for the transition over the last 60 years, where the social figure of the fellah and the agricultural proletarian, the privileged social partner of the state, is giving way to a middle class of farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs.

these new social actors from the cities and the countryside are prospering and are now competing with the peasantry for land, water, money and social capital.

following a historical retrospective describing the social transformations that have characterized the agricultural world, the study identifies the challenges of Algeria's agricultural future.

الملخص FRE

Après un rappel de l'héritage colonial et une critique du mythe de la prospérité coloniale, l'étude évoque les principales transformations opérées au cours des premières décennies (1960-1970) sous l'effet des politiques de réformes agraires (autogestion et révolution agraire), ainsi que les raisons qui sont au fondement des options libérales qui ont été retenues lors des décennies qui ont suivies (1980-2000).

cet article explique les raisons de la transition opérée au cours de ces 60 dernières années, où la figure sociale du fellah et du prolétaire agricole, partenaire social privilégié de l'état, cède la place à d'une classe moyenne d'agriculteurs et d'entrepreneurs agricoles.

ces nouveaux acteurs sociaux issus des villes ou des campagnes prospèrent et disputent aujourd'hui terres, eau, argent et capital social à la paysannerie.

à l'issue d'une rétrospective historique décrivant les transformations sociales qui ont caractérisées le monde agricole, l'étude identifie les défis du futur agricole de l'Algérie.
