Through our study of Ibn Tufayl's Hayy Ibn Yakzān we will try to reveal that this treatise deals in fact with two main problems.

One is presented explicitly and directly, and the other is dealt with implicitly and perhaps unintentionally.

The first, through which Ibn Tufail is involved in a traditional philosophical perspective, is related to the quest of truth, and the second represents a concern, despite being central to the Islamic intellectual and cultural framework, is not clearly disclosed and is mainly related to the issue of communication.

Meanwhile we will undertake to reveal some of the milestone of Ibn Tufayl's intellectual formation, with the assumption that his treatise may be a sort of autobiography.

Nous essaierons, à travers l'étude de l'épître d'Ibn Tufail, Hayy Ibn Yaqzan, de montrer que ce traité aborde en fait deux problèmes principaux.

L'un est traité d'une manière explicite, alors que l'autre est seulement suggéré implicitement et peut-être d'une manière non intentionnelle.

Nous pensons qu'à travers le premier, Ibn Tufayl, s'engage dans une perspective philosophique traditionnelle, liée à la recherche de la vérité, tandis que le second représente une préoccupation qui, bien qu'elle soit centrale dans le contexte intellectuel et culturel islamique, n'a pas été clairement divulguée.

Ce second problème est principalement lié à la question de la communication.

Nous essaierons également de révéler certains traits de la formation intellectuelle d'Ibn Tufayl, tout en supposant que son épître est une sorte d'autobiographie.
