The role of small and medium-sized enterprises in promoting non-oil exports in Algeria during the period 2014-2022

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are considered one of the most important means of industrial development, both locally and globally.

thus, the aim of this study was to assess the contribution of SMEs in Algeria to diversifying Algerian exports.

the study utilized a descriptive-analytical approach, including a case study of Algeria spanning the period from 2014 to 2022.

based on the findings, it was evident that the SME sector in Algeria witnessed significant growth in terms of density; however, this density remains insufficient when compared to other countries worldwide.

additionally, the volume of its exports remains very limited in comparison to the total exports.
