The competence of the Waqf’s supervisor is no less important than the mission of its donor.

The supervisor is responsible of renovating administrative methods, ensuring transparency and accountability of the Waqf’s investment, and delivering its services to its beneficiaries.

This article discusses the desired women’s roles in the field of the Waqf’s administration and supervision, given that women are currently carrying out effective administrative tasks, in addition to their historical participation in the Waqf’s supervision.

The article firstly discusses the challenges of Waqf management, then presents pillars of women's roles and defines their features, which are relevant to the Waqf development.

I argue that these roles are, on one hand, among the necessary aspects of the Waqf’s renewal efforts to improve its financial and professional efficiency and increase its societal effectiveness.

On the other hand, they reflect the momentum of the growing women’s role in business management and leadership.

Adopting institutional values and standards of competence and professionalism, and strengthening the organizational structure of the Waqf, pave the way to women to taking over its management, innovating in its investment and services, and periodically evaluating its performance.

It is assumed that women’s initiatives will fill the gaps in the Waqf’s administrative performance, and benefit from the gained experiences in the governance, investment, networking and oversighting to pioneering the activation of the Waqf as a social institution with a civilizational mission.
