Development in all its forms is one of the most important areas of life especially in light of development technical and technological advancement there is hardly a field devoid of areas, otherwise it will be permeated with development Islam paid great attention to this aspect and did not neglect it, so it ordered the construction and construction of the land in order to achieve ISIS servitude to god almighty in this universe therefore, it was important to talk about the concept of development in Islamic thought and positivist thought, then the comparison between them.

this research came in four demands these demands were preceded by an introduction i talked about the concept of development among linguists jurists and economists as for the four demands in it i spoke about development in positivist thought represented by capitalism and socialism then i spoke about development in Islamic thought then compare it with positivist thought.

the research concluded that the development system in positivist thought either based on absolute individual freedom without any restrictions or fight the principle of private property and the nationalization of all funds for the group and the state they are opposites concerned with the material aspect rather than the human aspect while Islamic thought paid more attention to the human and moral aspect than to the material aspect i used the analytical method in narrating the topic and then comparing the different ideas without prior tendencies and then concluded the research with the most important findings and recommendations.
