This is a brief study in which I show that the significance of the context, and the understanding of the verses in their light, was concentrated in the minds of the companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and it did not leave them for an hour when they understood and interpreted the meanings of the Noble Qur’an.

And I made the interpretation of the great companion Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, a beacon to guide those who wanted to stand on this issue with the rest of the honorable companions, so I studied several models of his interpretation, which relied on the significance of the context, and explained that with explanation and clarification.

This research came under the title: “The Companions’ Care, may God be pleased with them, with interpretation in terms of context, Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him as a model - an applied study on the last three parts of the Holy Qur’an.” The importance of the topic: First: The issue of context and its significance to meanings contribute greatly to understanding the meanings and contemplating the verses of the Noble Qur’an.

Second: Standing on the historical interpretation of the context as an applied aspect, which the honorable Companions, may God be pleased with them, relied on in understanding the meanings of the verses of the Noble Qur’an.

Third: The interpretation of the Companions, may God be pleased with them, and those who came after them from the followers and the followers of the followers are considered and important, as the interpretation of the Qur’anic verse does not stop the understanding of the companions and their followers and their followers and what they said about it.

As for the reasons why I chose him, they are due to the following: First: My desire to highlight the precedence of the Companions in what is called tafsir in terms of context, as a term later than their era.

Second: Knowing the commentators who turned to what I want to stand on in this modest research and to refer to their words through this research.

Third: The scarcity of authorship on this subject as an applied aspect of the Companions, may God be pleased with them.

Fourth: The importance of context in understanding the texts of the Noble Revelation.

Research problem: The problem of this research is that the theorists of context semantics did not highlight the practical aspect of the Companions in their interpretation of context, especially since context semantics as a term was not in the era of the Companions, may God be pleased with them, except that their use of it was within their scattered interpretation narratives in the books of interpretation and the Sunnah, and this needs to be summation and extrapolation; To find the models under study There is another problem: that some interpretations do not clearly show the dependence on the significance of the linguistic and historical context, and this needs further editing and scrutiny to find out the models under study.

research aims: First: Standing on a great foundation of understanding Arabic speech in general, and understanding the Noble Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah in particular.

Second: To highlight the attention of the honorable Companions to the interpretation of the Book of God, relying on the linguistic and historical context, through the interpretation of Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him.

Third: Proving that the term interpretation in terms of context was preceded by the Companions, may God be pleased with them, as an applied aspect.

As for the research questions, there are many: The study answers several questions, namely What is the context? And what are its types? What is its importance to the researcher in Quranic studies? Were the Companions Araoonh in their interpretation of the Holy Qur'an? What is the position of Abdullah bin Masoud among the commentators? To what class of commentators does he belong? And what is the evidence that he, may God be pleased with him, relied on the significance of the context in his interpretation? As for the limits of the search: This research deals with an applied study of the narratives of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, in the interpretation by context in the last three parts of the Holy Qur’an, and the linguistic and contextual analysis of some of what was quoted from him, may God be pleased with him, in the interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, and highlighting the aspect of its dependence on the context in the interpretation of God’s words.

As for previous studies on it: Within the limits of what I have seen, I did not find anyone who singled out this study with a description, except for what was written about the context in general, and its impact on understanding the text, or what was collected from the narratives of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, without addressing what I wanted to research about here.

As for the research plan: It was divided into an introduction, a preface, five sections, a conclusion, and indexes.

The introduction included the following: The problem of the study, the questions raised about it, its limits, its importance, the reasons for choosing the topic, the objectives of the study, the previous studies on it, the research plan, and the approach used in this study.

As for the preamble: it included the speech on the context, its significance and its types, and on the authority of the great companion Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, as an interpreter.

As for the five topics: they are the models selected from the interpretation of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him; To highlight the aspect of his care of context in understanding the Qur'anic text.

As for the conclusion: it contains the most important results with suggestions and recommendations.
