تتمحور إشكالية البحث حول إبراز البعد المغاربي في نضال مصالي الحاج، الذي ارتبط اسمه بالاستقلال في الجزائر فترة الاحتلال الفرنسي، فهو بحق أبا للحركة الوطنية وزعيمها، فقد تمكن من استقطاب الجماهير وجعلها تلتف حوله وحول قضيته، ينجذبون إليه ويثقون به، ينفذون أوامره ويتبنون أفكاره وهذا نظير إخلاصه وتفانيه في النضال والدفاع عن حقوق الشعب الجزائري، مركزا في مطالبه السياسية على البعد الوطني وضرورة تجاوز كل مآسي الاحتلال، كل هذا لم يمنعه من أن يهمل القضية المغاربية، فهو من بين الذين آمنوا بالمشروع التحرري الموحد لبلدان المغرب العربي، وذلك من خلال الدعوة إلى الوحدة المغاربية والعمل المشترك عبر التنسيق مع قيادات الحركة الوطنية في تونس والمغرب.

The research problem is centred on highlighting the Maghreb dimension in the struggle of Messali al-Hajj, whose name was associated with independence in Algeria during the French occupation.
he is truly the father and leader of the national movement.
indeed, he was able to attract the masses and make them rally around him and his cause.
thus, people trusted him, obeyed to his orders, adopt his ideas, and this is a result of his sincerity, his loyalty to the struggle and defence of the rights of the Algerian people.
he focused in his political demands on the national dimension and the necessity of overcoming all the tragedies of the occupation.
yet, all of this did not prevent him from not neglecting the Maghreb issue, as he was among those who believed in the unified liberation project of the countries of the Arab Maghreb, and that was through the call to Maghreb unity and joint action through coordination with the leaders of the national movement in Tunisia and Morocco.
الملخص FRE
La problématique de recherche se centre autour de la mise en évidence de la dimension maghrébine dans la lutte de Messali El-Hadj, dont le nom est associé à l'indépendance de l'Algérie pendant l'occupation française.
Il est véritablement le père et le leader du mouvement national.
En effet, il a su attirer les masses et les pousser à se rallier autour de lui et sa cause.
Ainsi, les gens lui ont fait confiance, ont obéi à ses ordres, ont adopté ses idées, et cela est le résultat de sa sincérité, de sa loyauté dans la lutte et la defense des droits du peuple algérien.
Il a concentré ses revendications politiques sur la dimension nationale et la nécessité de surmonter toutes les tragédies de l'occupation.
Pourtant, tout cela ne l'a pas empêché de ne pas négliger la question maghrébine, car il faisait partie de ceux qui croyaient au projet de libération unifié des pays du Maghreb arabe, et cela à travers l'appel à l'unité du Maghreb et à l'action commune à travers la coordination avec les dirigeants dumouvement national en Tunisie et au Maroc.
