The article reviewed over 20 Arabic articles on CD/ROM.

Emphasis was on presenting the different arabizations used for the CD/ROM concept which lead to misunderstanding and misconception.

Differences were also extended to discussing the material which the CD is made of.

The article presented a competion for all Arab authors, experts and computer specialists to present a clear definition of CD/ROM with the most appropriate Arabic equivalent of the concept in addition to documenting what material the CD is made of.
