This study aims at tackling the personal life of Dr.

Abdurrahman Al-Shahbandar and his political :tivity in Syria.

It also includes the early appearance as an active figure over the political scene.

He as one of the pioneering national personalities who participated in Jihad against colonialists.

In fact, riting about significant personalities is a challenging task because of the mixture of what is ijective with what is subjective.

Besides, what is written about Dr.Al- Shahbandar is very limited, rhis study is divided into three major parts in addition to an introduction and a conclusion .The first rt of this study is devoted to survey his life: the early childhood, growing and his academic life.lt also eds light on his early political role in formulating the first independent Arab government in tmascus after the Ottoman withdrawal.

He was the first minister of foreign affairs for the said vemment.

His role in King Creen committee is also dealt with since he was the person who livered the documents that express the opinion of the Syrian people about calling for freedom and lependence.The second part deals with his role in founding the first official party and his position as sader in the great Syrian revolution .The third section focuses on the conflict with the national mass it continues till his assassination of which they are accused.This part also includes the findings ived at.
