الملخص EN

The present research deals with the structural systems which are part of Baghdad University Logo.

The research aims at identifying the basic centers which were relied upon in designing these logos.

The research includes four chapters; the first one deals with the methodological frame of the research.

The second contains the theoretical frame and the formal studies.

This chapter contains four sections: the first is the concept and the root of the logo, the second is about the general structural system in graphic design with the bases and aesthetic elements.

The third deals with the function of the logo as far as the symbolic and expressive aspects are concerned.

It also deals with the kinds of the logos and its forms.

The fourth deals with the designing techniques of the logo and it deals with it through the system and cultural context.

The theoretical framework resulted into some indicators as a scientific material which the researcher made use of into his procedure and the way of his researching to analyze the content of the samples.

So researcher chooses this way to identify with his procedural stages, this what has been achieved in the third chapter, namely the procedure chapter where the researcher analyzed nine different samples of logos which are part of Baghdad University.
