الملخص EN

In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller is proposed for load frequency control problem of electrically interconnected power system.

The fuzzy controller was constructed as a set of control rules and the control signal was directly deduced from the knowledge base and the fuzzy inference.

The study was designed for a two-area interconnected power system.

Simulation results showed that the proposed controller is suitable for damping the frequency oscillation due to load disturbance effects.

The proposed controller showed best dynamic responses over the conventional PID controller.
