الملخص الإنجليزي

The current study aims at investigating the problems that Mu'tah University Students of English Major face when they deal with inflectional and derivational morphology.

As far as I know this is the first study discussing such matter in Mu'tah University? A test was employed to collect the data for the current study.

The Interlanguage Data Hypothesis and Error Analysis approaches are used to analyze the relevant data.

The findings of the study show the followings: first, students of English Major at Mu'tah University have problems when they deal with inflectional and derivational morphology.

Second, there is a great deal of systematic errors, but this doesn't mean that all the errors are systematic.

Third, analyzing the systematizm of errors could improve learning English morphology.

Fourth, there is an effective role of the formal setting of teaching in acquiring morphological rules.
