The synthesis and characterization of N, N bis-salicildene -o-phenylenediimine was described, using infra red, ultra violet spectroscopy, melting point, and elemental analysis for nitrogen.

The behavior towards some metal ions Fe (II), V (V), Co (II) is studied and its possibility as analytical reagent evaluated.
