مواقف السكان المحليين تجاه استراتيجيات التنمية الريفية المقترحة في أربعة ألوية بمحافظة الكرك- بالأردن

الملخص EN

An attempt has been made to investigate attitudes of rural people {in four administrative units ( Liwa1 ) in Karak gov-ernorate / Jordan ( Karak, Mazar, Qasr, and Aye) } towards their conditions, problems, and their proposed remedial development programmes.

Results of this study show that physical conditions support agricultural activity, and that levels of income and social services are less than those in Jordan.

In addition, this field study shows that local people know their socioeconomic problems ( low income, poverty, unemployment, agricultural problems,and low level of infrastucture).

Moreover, local people suggest pro-gramms to solve these problems like: 1-soft loans.

2- social services and infrastructure.

3- agricultural development.

4- vocational training .

5- industrial develop-ment.Results of chi square analysis show that there are no statistical differences in local people's attitudes in the four admin -strative unites about the problems they face or they suggest ( except that of range development and animal development).

Local people agree on the details of some development programmes,whereas they desagree on the otheres.

It is worth that local people opinions be taken in consideration by planners when they design the development programmes
