الملخص FRE

Surgical department- H.

Bourguiba Hospital- Sfax Contrast enhanced CT examination of a 31-year-old female with obstructive ileocecal Crohn's dise showed, in addition to fluid levels in small bowel, a markedly ‘enlarged loop of bowel filled w heterogeneous material, thought to be sigmoid colon.

Operative exploration revealed that the enlarged lo was the terminal ileum and that it was filled with undigested food.

Crohn's disease leads to decreased luminal diameter, limited distensibility and dilated bowel is habitoal observed between involved segments.

Important dilation of involved loops of small bowel is rarely deseribed and can imply a misinterpretation on imagery .
