The study of the prominent figures has occupied an important role in the field of the historical studies because such figures have played important roles in making up the historical events.

The understanding of the figures is important to understand the events and their formulation.

This study is regarded as a continuation with other studies of figures who have played an important regional and national role in building the first bases of the modern Iraqi state.

Musa al-Shabander is an educated national figure.

He was one of the civil men of May movement whose effect in political, diplomatic and ideological history of the contemporary Iraq through the Royal Period 1921-1958 was very great.

Musa al-Shabander took part in the national movement in the country which was mostly represented by the twentieth (Al-Ashreen) revolution.

He also took part in the ceremony of nominating the Prince Faisal as a King of Iraq.

The King Faisal and some Iraqi politicians including Noori Al-Saeed admired Musa Al- Shabander and his high scientific abilities in acquiring the Ph.D.

degree.

So, he was appointed in the Iraqi diplomatic board in Jeneva since 1933.

He also occupied the position of the first secretary in Berlin 1935-1936 and in 1939.

He was the Iraqi minister in Syria 1950-1953 and the Iraqi ambassador in Washington in 1953-1954 and 1955- 1957.

He was very faithful to his country.

He helped in developing Iraqi relations with other countries in the world.

He defended the international issues in Jeneva.

He also represented Iraq in the U.

campus in a large number of international conferences and disarming.

In addition, he defended the Arab people issues in the in the Arabic League and U.

including the Palestinian, Egyptian, Syrian, Jordanian, Morrocoan different issues.

Musa Al-Sahbander was one of the famous ministers in a large number of ministers in the history of Royal Iraq such as those of Rasheed Aali Al-Kaylani (the 3rd) (31-3-1940 to 31-12-1940) and (the 4th) (12-4-1941 to 29-5-1941) and that of Muhammed Fadhil Al-Jamali (the 2nd) (8-3 to 29-4-1954) and that of Noori Al-Saeed (the 12th) (3-8-1954 to 17-11-1955).

He was a member in the Iraqi Parliament in the 8th session (23-11-1937 to 22-2-1939) and the 15th one (16-9-1954 to 30-6-1957) as a representative of Emarah Province.

In addition, he occupied high positions in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

As for his great ideological role, he dealt with different subjects related to Iraqi political, economic and social states, as well as the Arab land states.

He asked for Iraq-Syria unity and the Arab unity as well.

He also treated many European and international events.

Being a very prominent national figure to serve his country in all fields and being one of the real first men who tried all his best to reconsidered the contemporary Iraqi State, we have chosen Musa Al-Shabander to be the theme of this study.

It is not an easy task at all to deal with such personality.

The few references form one of the difficulties to trace al-Shabander.

So, we try our best to follow the basic sources represented by the real documentations sent to the Iraqi Government by Musa al- Shabander.

These documentations reveal the most important events and issues in the world which Musa Al-Shabander witnessed.

This represents a good historical mission in the history of Iraq and Arab Homeland and the Universe.
