This research is countet as the beginning of registration of history of one of the ancient places in the Abyan province, as the studies of ancient history of such places is absent.

"Dathina" is a place east of Aden province and it is 120-130 miles away.

Though the role and importance of this place in the ancient time was great, and the civilization of this kingdom of Awsan, there is not any scientific research about its culture and carvings.

Ist role and importance shined in the times of kingdom of Awsan as a main powerful force under the leadership of kingdom of Awsan and their share in the military.

This research is considered as a trial to approach some of its culture and heritage in which this place was renowned from the publications and books that mentioned it and has become a part of ancient Yemeni history.

It is known that Dathina had suffered many struggles and wars and had succeeded in defending Awsan.

The main aim of this research is to disclose the research on the studies about the rohe of dathina and analyzing it and bring out its reality from the ancient pages of history by enlightening on this part of Yemen that has still remained sunken in history and it needs to be undusted.

The merit of this research is that this is a beginning in searching about history of dathina considering it as a part of south Arabian history in general.
