Elastic and inelastic electron scattering form factors have been investigated for some 1p-shell nuclei.
These nuclei include; 10B (3+,0), 12C (0+,0), 13C (? ? − ? ?), 14N (1+ 0) , and 15N (? ? − ? ?) .
The investigations have been performed in terms of the configuration mixing shell model with limiting number of orbital in the model space.
Discarded space has been included, which is called core-polarization effects, through a microscopic theory, which considers a particle-hole excitations from the core orbits and from the model space orbits into the higher orbits with 2ħω excitations.
The Modified Surface Delta Interaction (MSDI) is used for the core polarization matrix elements.
Different model space effective interactions are adopted to generate the model space wave functions.
Cohen-Kurath (CK) is used as a frame work.
Also, the calculations of the present work performed by using three other interactions concord the 1p- model space in order to compare these results with these follow from (CK) interaction.
These interactions are; (PMOM, PJP, and MP).
The simple Harmonic Oscillator (HO) potential is used to generate the single particle wave functions, where an analytical solution is possible.
Comparisons were made with the available experimental data for different multipolarities.
Core polarizations effects improve the agreement with the experimental data very well and play an essential role for electron scattering form factors.
The longitudinal form factors are enhanced by including core-polarization effects in the all momentum transfers region.
While the transverse form factors in the higher momentum transfer data ABSTRACT I ٨ are less affected by core-polarization effects, which is caused by possible particle-hole states available.
The calculated form factors using the three interactions; (PMOM, PJP, and MP) compared with (CK) form factor in the 1p-model space.
It was found that the results follow from using (CK) interaction almost seems as the average of results follow from using other interactions.
Many other side results follow from this comparison discussed in the present work.
The transverse and longitudinal transitions have been studied in this work are: The Nucleus 10B (3+0 ) The states; 0.718 MeV (1+0 ), 3.587 MeV ( 2+0 ), and 4.774 MeV ( 3+0 ) The Nucleus 12C (0+ 0) The 15.11 MeV (1+ 1) state The Nucleus 13C (? ? − ? ?) The states; 3.68 MeV( ? ? − ? ?), 7.55 MeV ( ? ? − ? ?) , and 15.11 MeV ( ? ? − ? ?) The Nucleus 14N (1+ 0) The states; elastic (1+ 0), 2.313 MeV (0+ 1) , and 3.945 MeV (1+0) The Nucleus 15N (? ? − ? ?) The elastic transition
