This research includes a preface about the novelty of this topic which, according to the best of my knowledge, has not been knocked till now.

Then, the author has mentioned the reason behind using the Arabic language symbol "Z" by the narrators ofhadith4 Then, the author has put an introduction to the term used by the narrators of the Hadith to indicate to transit from a Chain of Transmission to another.

In addition, he has shown the historic background for this symbol, its reality, narrators’ aim of use it, and its advantage4 Furthermore, the author has clarified meaning of the symbol ,"Z" its source, the way the narrators utilized to employ and pronounce it, and its narration size in the six books of Sunnah4 It has been shown that the symbol "Z" is the most famous symbol which has been used by most of narrators to indicate to transit from a chain of transmission to another when Hadith has more than one Chain of Transmission have been combined with the text in a single context4 The term "Z" is old, used by the narrators of Hadithsince the second century until the books have been authored.

Al-Hafiz “Abu AmrIbnAlsslah”, died in 643 AH, is the first scholar who has explained the symbol "Z" in his book “Science of Hadith4” Scholars have disagreed about how to pronounce this symbol, however, the selected statement, which agreed by the majority of scholars, is that the reader pronounces the "Z" as it is written; with no dotting and with adding the letter "_?" at its end, to be pronounced as ,"_M" and continues reading4 Additionally, it has been realized that Al-Imam Muslim Bin Al-Hajaj, May Allah have mercy on him, is the most scholar who has utilized this symbol among the authorsof the six books, due to his intensive keenness and care in Hadith subjects, especially the chain of transmission4 This is a brief abstract of this research, and Allah is the Guide to the straight path4
