The current research has aimed to measure the level of the cognitive style (focusing_scanning), and measure both of will power and decision making by students of Mosul University.

Showing the relationship between the cognitive style (focusing_scanning) and will power the cognitive style (focusing_scanning) and decision making, and the relationship between will power and decision making.

The main sample of the research has consisted of (572) students who have been chosen randomly from Mosul University.

To achieve the aims of the research, a ready has been used To measure the cognitive style(focusing_scanning) prepared by (Raheef, 2009), as well as the external validity of the instrument has been verified, in addition to calculating the reliability of this instrument by two stayles : the re test stayle, so the simple correlation coefficient reached (0,80), and the equation of Alpha_Cronbach, so the value of reliability coefficient (0,84).

the reachers have depended on ready instrument to measure will power prepared by (Al_Maadhedy, 2004) and revised by (Al_Maula, 2007).

Then the external validity of instrument has been verified as well as the reliability has been calculated by two stayles : the re test stayle, so the simple correlation coefficient value reached (0,80), and the stayle of estimations of Cord_Richardson (21), so the value of reliability coefficient reached (0,85), The researchers have also built a test to measure decision making , then the external validity of the instrument has been verified as well as founding subjective validity of the test reached (0,93).

Then the distinctive power has been calculated as well as internal consistency of the decision making test items.

The reliability of the instrument has also been calculated by two stayles: re test stayle, so the simple correlation coefficient reached (0,88), and Alpha_Cronbach stayle, so the value of reliability coefficient (0,90).

After the data has been analyzed statistically by using (SPSS), the results have showed the tendency of the students of Mosul University to use the cognitive style (focusing_scanning) , the cognitive style (scanning), then the cognitive style (focusing).

As well as the students of Mosul University in common have will power and the ability of decision making.

That, The result Also showed that there is a statistical positive correlation between the cognitive style (focusing_scanning) and will power, and between the cognitive style (scanning) and will power, while there is no statistical correlation between the cognitive style (focusing) and will power.
