Voilence and terrorism were throughout history commonplace phenomena long since Man's creation As this paper shows beyond any doubt - Islam,and Islamic Jurisprudence stood firmly against terrorism through different ways and means.

The establishment of societal stability and security is one of the fundamental principles of Islam .

Intimidation of Muslims through fear and violence or any deed that leads to curtailing human rights, is totaly condemned by Islamic Jurisprudence.

Punitive sanctions against actions of terrorism whether internal or external, were imposed to deter resorting to sheer power to solve problems.

Such positions not only deter those who intend to carry out terrorist actions, but also represent an umbrella of protection to individuals and their properties.

Islamic Jurisprudence in this Connection coinicides with the fundamentals of international law, particularly as regards the definition of terrorist actions and the necessity of applying punitive measures.

Islam being a religion of peace, mercy, and compassion has shown the way to curb terrorism and violence, in its eternal aim of establishing peace, stability and coexistance between fellow-men irrespective of creed or colour.
