The present study aimed to determine the role of achievement goals orientations (2x2 model) to predict achievement emotions.

The study sample consisted of (558) students from Qassim University .

Two measures were applied to the sample, the first one was achievement goals orientations and the second measure was achievement emotions, regression analysis was used to determine the role of achievement goals in predicting different achievement emotions.

The study revealed the following results: - Mastery goals were positive predictors of enjoyment of learning.

- Mastery avoidance goals were positive predictors of boredom, and mastery goals were negative predictors of boredom.

- Mastery goals and performance goals were positive predictors of pride.

- Mastery avoidance goals and performance avoidance goals were positive predictors of anxiety, hopelessness, and shame.

While mastery goals were negative predictors of anxiety, hopelessness, and shame
