The research of the intellectual and philosophical sources of the Arab’s scientific heritage has to be considered as the most ambiguous deals.

The reason why, different researches in the Arabic scientific thought has oriented and directed to state its history, well-known thinkers such as history of astronomy , physics as well as the most well-known scientists .The same case too with chemistry and other sciences.

It’s not notable behind this meaning ;decreasing their works value, but we need besides this looking for the different intellectual springs and sources that have shaped the basis of the scientific thought of the arabs and muslims .In addition to that , it needs the search for the origins of the scientific theories as well as highlighting the starting point which is the intellectual and cognitive problematics , and then , to what extent are their abilities to jump the already previous done sciences ? Specificaly speaking , most of the historians believe on the fact that the most ambiguous period in the history is the one that is concerned with the transmission of the sciences to the arabs .

though, many historical sources confirmed the big role and importance of the alexandria school in that transmission .The latter was at the top of the scientific centres that had been prospered in the several sciences and arts .The alexandria school had witnessed a big scientific movement during the ptolematrc and roman eras in different sciences for instance :Mathematics, engeneering, astronomy , Medecine and others .Yet , all what had been written about the impact of this period consisted a lots of distortions , historical errors either in precising persons names or theirs publications and their effects.

The transmission of sciences to the arabs has many ways.chief among of them :the passing road from alexandria to baghdad .This would mean that the alexandria school was the pioneer and leader in proposing lots of deals and scientific prolematics where their impact extented to the arabic scientific thought .John , the grammarian was the prominent figure of the school in its late age (the first half of the 6th sixth christian centry ).His explanations , comments , criticism upon the huge influential aristoth books on the arabic scientific thought as far as direction of the studies of the scientists and philosophers .However, this impact and effect of the school remained mostly unclear.
