الملخص AR

This paper aimed to evaluate e-learning in the Saudi higher education.

To achieve that, the researcher used the descriptive approach, reviewing related literature regarding the philosophic and thinking visions of e-learning concept, its positivenesses in the higher education, obstacles of applying it and a suggested implementation of employing it in the Saudi Higher Education.

As a result, the concept of e-learning defined in different ways for different specialties and backgrounds, and a common vision towards this concept may describe it as a an technical container of untraditional instructional environment based on the multimedia technology, to provide an instructional digital content through the multimedia for computer and its networks to the learner in a way enables him to activate with the electronic container, teacher, and peers whether synchronous or asynchronous.

Also, this paper discussed e-learning positivenesses in the higher education, and obstacles and a suggested implementation of employing it in the Saudi Higher Education.

In addition, some recommendations and suggestions for further research were discussed.
