الملخص AR

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a training program on modifying attitudes of parents of students with learning disabilities toward resource rooms in Jordan.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers developed the parents' attitudes scale, and a training program module to modify the parents’ attitudes towards resource room.

The sample of the study consisted of (100) parents of students with learning disabilities from Al-Kourah District, Jordan.

The sample distributed into two equal groups, (experimental and control).

The parents' attitudes scale was applied on the two groups as pretest and posttest.

The parents in the experimental group were attached with the training program module for eight weeks, whereas the parents in the control group did not receive the same training program module.

The results showed that there were statistically significant differences (p=.05) between the means of the two groups on the post-parents' attitudes scale, favoring to the experimental group, and No statistically significant differences at (p=.05) between the means of the two groups on post-parents' attitudes scale attributed to gender, educational level, age, and number of family members, or to the interaction between the group and these variables.
