This research shows the importance of the role of responsible freedom of the media in the rise and progress of nations, and shows the responsibility that falls on the shoulders of those who made it to achieve it.

And shows the suffering of the Jordanian press in particular and the media institutions in general as a result of the large number of amendments that have defined the laws of the press on the one hand, and government control over the media sector, directly or indirectly, on the other hand, which affected the stability of the media institutions, and reflected on the performance of its employees.

It also highlights the role of the executive branch of the keys to capture the information required to be provided for journalists and this has an important role in the success of a journalist who leads a noble message in his work, and to make his access easy for information contributes to establish a healthy media environment.

The research shows the role of the Jordanian government in the freedom of media, and explains why the decline, and that this decline is contrary to the directions declared official that there will be no obstacles to the freedom of the media.

It shows that media legislation contributed to the classification of Jordan is a non-free country.

The research found many of the findings and recommendations that promote freedom of information and make a leading role in society, and democratic society is in need of media freedom.
