This study aimed to identify the relationship between the violence against social workers who are working for the Palestinian Ministry of Social Affairs by the clients of the Ministry, and the social workers’ motivations to continue working in this profession.

The researcher used the descriptive deductive method to interpret and analyze violence against social worker and their motivation.

The sample contains (18) social workers who are working for the Ministry of Social affairs.

Results indicated that negative correlation exists between verbal violence against social workers, and motivation to continue working, where as long as the motivation to work increased, verbal violence decreased.

Results demonstrated that negative correlation exists between physical violence and motivation to continue working in the profession, therefore, as the physical violence increased, motivation to work in social work profession decreased.

The findings also indicated statistical variation in the motivation to work in the service according to the age.

Young social workers are more motivated to continue working in the service than older ones.

in conclusion, The major recommendations are: there is a need for a comfortable environment that provides professional and safety which will encourage the workers to have more motivations to continue functioning in their jobs
