أثر تطبيق معايير اللجنة المشتركة الدولية للاعتماد على جودة الخدمات المقدمة في المستشفيات الخاصة في عمان-الأردن

This study aimed at measuring the impact of applying the Joint Commission on International Accreditation on the quality of service at the private hospitals in Amman.

To achieve this aim, a literature review was performed to establish a better idea about this issue.

Afterwards, there was an attempt to understand the real situation in the private hospitals in Amman, by designing a questionnaire and distributing it to doctors and nurses in four accredited hospitals and five non-accredited hospital.

The model of the study was derived from two main hypotheses investigating a statistical relation between the international standards and the quality of the service (doctors performance, nurses' performance, documentation, and infection control and medication errors).

Using the Statistical Package for to Social Science (SPSS) the data were analyzed by finding the frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation, simple linear regression, one way ANOVA, the results showed that there is a statistical relation between the Joint Commission on International Standards and the improvement of the quality of service provided at private hospitals in Amman
