This article sheds light on key performance indicators used for assessment of library electronic collection.

The purpose of the study is to analyze and present professional criteria of electronic collection assessment in accordance with the performance assessment standards for libraries & information centers.

The researchers focused on IFLA Quality Measurement for Libraries guidelines, ISO11620 standard, and the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information AFLI Measurement Indicators.

The researchers settled on adopting 9 main performance indicators to measure the electronic collection performance, all of which were defined, with due explanation of their objectives, the measurement formula of each of them, and the impact of each indicator on measurement whether main or secondary were identified.

The researchers highlighted the importance of the assessment of the electronic collection, where libraries and information centers currently allocate large volume of budget.

The researchers stress on idea that electronic collection assessment culture across the Arab World needs more efforts to enhance awareness regarding collection performance assessment indicators in general and electronic collection in particular.
