This research Constitutes an important era from the history of cotton in Egypt This era shows the decreasing period in cotton area, production, productivity.

This research focus on studying this ease with its different elements or what is called Egyptian cotton crisis or disappearing Egyptian cotton from Egyptian agricultural map, especially in the recent period that showed a downward in area and production 0f cotton, where the decreasing rate in the area of cotton in the period 1980-2010 is about- 77% with annual decrease rate about-2.57 yearly % The decrease rate in cotton production is larger than the decrease rate in cotton area where the decrease rate in Egyptian cotton production was – 80 % during the same period with annual decrease rate about - 2.66 % yearly.

This affects the production quantity from cotton, also the productivity per hidden generally decreased with a rate of - 12.5% through the period 1980-2010 .

It was Ciera from the study of the classification map oi Egyptian cotton, the fluctuation of the relative importance of cotton varieties over the years of the study.

Also the order of the area of each class, production and productivity was changed and the relative weight of ultra-length cotton area decreased from TO at 1985-2010 at the time of the relative superiority of long staple cotton area.

The study showed that there are multiple factors responsible .or the current map contraction for the Egyptian cotton where many economic, political and international variables contributed to be drawn which include the high cost of which is towards the increase, where the ratio was increased with about 700% through 1985-2010 .The study ccr.firrr.cd that at the time was the cotton represents the base of summer crops, its throne had collapsed in front of other agricultural crops where its rate from summer crops dropped '.o 26.5 /o at 1990 and continued to decline to 4.4% at 2010.

The study recorded an inverse relationship between the cotton area and the area of summer crops in Egypt through the period 1990-2010.

Also, the study confirmed that Egyptian cotton is one of the more agricultural crops that effects by the new economic policy .

There were many consequences due to decreasing cotton area such as the decline in cotton production, decline in exports and increase imports, the impact on the textile industry.

The search is end with many recommendations in order to structure the future of cotton agriculture, these recommendations include the need to achieve compatibility between cotton agriculture and manufactures the search for new varletess ,to fit with the environmental and natural conditions, standardization responsible for the cotton crop, provide both direct and indirect support for fanners and change the current cotton marketing system.
