Innovation projects and especially the design of innovative products can be considered as a complex process that we cannot master in its entirety.
It therefore seems essential to take into account the risks associated with the uncertainty (technological, financial, trade, environmental, legal, etc.).
The risk management presents itself as one of the ways to manage these innovation projects.

It is therefore in the interest of any project promoter to see the reduction or control of risk of its business in order to obtain the best possible financing terms.
The risk to reward becomes the total risk of the innovation project in the startup under the hedges or mitigation.
الملخص FRE
Les projets d’innovation et plus particulièrement la conception des produits innovants peuvent être considérés comme un processus complexe que l’on n’arrive pas à maitriser dans sa totalité.
Il semble donc indispensable de tenir en compte des risques liés à ces incertitudes (technologiques, financières, commerciales, environnementales, juridiques, etc.).
Le management des risques se présente donc comme l’un des moyens pour gérer ces projets d’innovation.
Il est donc dans l’intérêt de tout promoteur du projet de voir à la réduction ou au contrôle du risque de son activité afin d’obtenir les meilleures conditions de financement possibles.
Le risque à rémunérer devient donc le risque total du projet d’innovation dans la PME moins les éléments de couverture ou de mitigation.
