Social work is relatively classified as a modern profession which emerged as a result of work and practice during the last century.

This field is gradally growing and developing as a result of field practice that remains the backbone and the cornerstone for social work.

Today, there is a growing attention among professionals in some Western countries, calling for adopting a new perspective or model that looks at clients and problems from a different angle.

The strengths perspective emerged in social work to enable practition-ers to view situations differently than the ones that social workers were used to for a long time.

This perspective has emerged from a field of professional practice, after being supported and proven by evidence gained through research which encodages specialists to analyze, experiment and test.

This paper represents this new per-spective in Arabic and tries to clarify it and show how to put it into practice.

This research is an attempt to provide a chance to social workers in the Arab world to think, analyze and make a start with this new approach.
