The topic of combating human trafficking has captured the attention of all nations, and many of international and regional organizations, as that crime is considered one of the most serious criminal phenomena at the international level.

Trafficking in human beings means the adoption by the criminal groups of certain means to approach human exploitation, particularly of women and children in the work of forced prostitution or forced labor.

Such groups also remove their organs and sell them to the able.

On the other hand the seriousness of this phenomenon returns in dealing with the human being as a good that is bought and sold, used by these criminal groups in order to make a profit, which represents a violation of human rights and human dignity.

The international and regional organizations; particularly the United Nations, has been concerned to call upon the international community to confront this crime through the conclusion of a protocol to prevent and punish human trafficking in 2000 (Palermo Protocol).

This protocol is complementary to the United Nations Convention to prevent and combat transnational organized crime.
