Contemporary dialects require careful study and research, given that contemporary dialects represent a stage in the evolution of language, and contemporary Baghdadi dialect is one of the Arabic dialects that have descended from Classical Arabic.

One could even call dialects a distorted form of Classical Arabic or a developed form of it.

In order to monitor these developments that form a linguistic phenomenon that occur in all languages in general, including Arabic.

This is known as the phenomenon of wearing off of w ords.

I have observed this phenomenon in contemporary Baghdadi dialect .

I have also investigated this phenomenon by referring to the work of several linguists, some words that have worn off, then explain the reasons behind their disappearance.
