This paper explores the aesthetics of image-formation in Imro-Algais description of rain.

The poet was regarded as one of the best poets who described rain.

The paper has briefly reviewed critics views on poetic images by way of emphasizing the link between literary creativity and linguistic images which can be auditory or visual.

Based on that ‚image formation ideas were applied on sample texts through the analysis of the audio-visual aspects of images in Imro-Algais’ description of rain.

The literary analytical method was used in this study together with the use of the descriptive and statistical tools of data analysis and discussion.

The results arrived at are listed in the conclusion of the study.
