This research deals with the analysis of the characters of " Fahil Al- Tut " a novel by the Iraqi novelist " Hazim Khalil ".

The paper consists of two sections.

The first section presents the characters through the external and internal description.

The second section deals with the indications that are suggested by the names of the characters making use of the description that has been presented in the first section.

Moreover, the present research paper aims at exposing what is hidden in the speech and the actions of the characters which the writer had intentionally hidden to let the readers enjoy discovering it.
