The study aimed to know the negative results of votes selling phenomenon in the Jordanian parliament elections, and identifying the effect of this phenomena on the nature of the elected parliament, its characteristics, and its ability to conduct its appointed tasks in the constitution.

The study aimed to identify the effect of this phenomena on the societal benefits and the system of the prevalent costumes and traditions among members of society.

To achieve the goals of the study a questionnaire was constructed and applied on a sample that consisted of (650) male and female teachers from three election departments whom were randomly selected.

The study revealed negative features of votes selling is the one represented in reaching the parliament by a category of the parliament candidates which negatively affects the performance of the parliament and its inability to monitor the actions of the government, and that buying votes process by the candidates leads them to exploit their positions in order to increase their capitals to compensate.

Also another feature was revealed which is the negative effect on the society benefits such as lack of employment, increase of prices, less concern of the citizen monthly income, and the spread of the corrupted relationships between the people of the society.

According to the study results some recommendations were presented.
