This study aimed to identify the level of the mental health and its relationship to the quality of life among a sample of university teachers in the Palestinian universities.

It tackled the relationship as well as identified the impact of some demographic variables: gender, age, marital status, place of residence, academic level, years of experience, specialization, and monthly income.

The sample of the study consisted of (213) members of the teaching faculty who accounted for (11.4%) of the total population of the study, stratified random sampling method was employed.

The results of the study showed a significant correlation between the psychological health and quality of life and their dimensions.

As for the psychological health level among the university teachers, the results showed that they enjoy moderately mental health.

The results also showed that that the level of quality of life among members of the study sample was very high.

In regard of the effect of the variables on the mental health and the quality of life, the study results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the variable of mental health in each of the following variables: sex, age, marital status, place of residence, academic level, and scientific specialization.

However, there were statistically significant differences in the variable of age in favor of (45-54) years old and in the variable of the years of experience in favor of those whose age ranges between (15-11).

However, there were statistically significant differences in the dimensions of each of the following variables due to mental health; the place of residence: there were differences in psychological security dimension in favor of the inhabitants of the city; the scientific level: there were differences the dimensions of self-satisfaction and economic security.

As for quality of life, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the dimensions due to gender, age, place of residence, scientific level, specialization and monthly income; there were statistically significant differences in the variable of the economic security in favor of doctoral degree holders only.

In the light of those findings, the researchers suggest the most important several recommendations: improving the scientific, economic, recreational and academic level of the Palestinian university teachers.

The university administrations should give the teachers enough rest between lectures increases their office, improve their psychological well-being, provide them with quality recreation and rehabilitation, and attempt to resolve their difficulties.

They should be given the greatest opportunity to achieve the educational process in accordance with the quality system.

Studies must be conducted to find out at the quality of life for teachers, students or other community sector.
